*Hours are subject to change without notice. Students must allow adequate time to complete prior to closing, as the Assessment Center will not extend hours. Walk-in COMPASS testing ends 3 hours prior to closing.
Lafayette Scheduling Information
COMPASS and make-up testing are available on a walk-in basis. All other testing and distance education testing require an appointment. Please call (765)-269-5611 for scheduling or to verify hours of operation. This will also allow us to confirm your testing needs, and ensure the best possible service.
Crawfordsville Scheduling Information
Assessments given at Crawfordsville should be arranged with the Site Assistant. Hours of availability vary from the hours at the Lafayette AC. Students wishing to take the COMPASS assessment or course exams at Crawfordsville should contact 765-359-0570 to discuss testing hours and to arrange testing times. Because of space limitations, 24 hours advance notice is required for scheduling tests in Crawfordsville.
COMPASS TESTING
- Incoming students must take the COMPASS placement test unless they have ACT or SAT scores, or college credit that waives this requirement.
- As a service to students there is no fee charged.
- COMPASS test results places you in the reading, writing and math courses that will provide greater success in your future course work.
- The test is not timed, but it can take up to three hours to finish all three sections.
- Everything you need to complete the test will be furnished.
- You must present a current photo ID to take the test.
- An advisor will review your scores with you upon completion of the test.

Testing is available throughout the semester in the Assessment Center, Ivy Hall, Room 1135.
