survey of dramatic structure and analysis and the functions of the

of listening with discussions of prominent composers, their works,

Introduction to Humanities
I -- Prerequisite: ENG 111. Introduces the
student to a wide variety of unique creations of the individual
imagination. Traditionally, the meaning of the term humanities has
included art, literature, music, and theater. The overall purpose
of the course is to deepen and broaden the student’s
enjoyment of a work of art at both the level of feeling and the
level of understanding. This course focuses on painting, sculpture,
architecture, and drama. 3 lecture hours. |
