HUM 100 Theatre Appreciation -- Prerequisites: "C" or better in ENG 025, ENG 032, or assessment/waiver. An introduction to the understanding and appreciation of theatre's role in the modern world, including a survey of dramatic structure and analysis and the functions of the actor, director, designer and critic. 3 lecture hours.

HUM 118 Music Appreciation -- Prerequisites: "C" or better in ENG 025, ENG 032, or assessment/waiver. An introduction to music stressing the art of listening with discussions of prominent composers, their works, and their styles. No previous knowledge of music required. 3 lecture hours.

HUM 201 Introduction to Humanities I -- Prerequisite: ENG 111. Introduces the student to a wide variety of unique creations of the individual imagination. Traditionally, the meaning of the term humanities has included art, literature, music, and theater. The overall purpose of the course is to deepen and broaden the student’s enjoyment of a work of art at both the level of feeling and the level of understanding. This course focuses on painting, sculpture, architecture, and drama. 3 lecture hours. 3
HUM 202 Introduction to Humanities II -- Prerequisite: ENG 111. Introduces the student to a wide variety of unique creations of the individual imagination. Traditionally the meaning of the term humanities has included art, literature, music, and the theater. The overall purpose of the course is to deepen and broaden the student’s enjoyment of a work of art at both the level of feeling and the level of understanding. This course focuses on dance, literature, music, and film. 3 lecture hours.
