    The Design Technology program focuses on building foundations in design principles and technology, utilizing the latest computer software and hardware. The computer-aided design and manufacturing (CADD-M) concentration places emphasis on using CNC programming, and CAD/CAM technology in design and manufacturing applications. Engineers need qualified design technologists to draw the parts of a machine in order to determine design elements such as the number and kind of fasteners needed for assembly.     Facilities maintenance technicians troubleshoot problems and repair systems for heating, air conditioning, electrical wiring, carpentry, and plumbing, and may use computers to log work projects, order materials or any number of other tasks.     Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning [HVAC] technicians install heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems and maintain systems by detecting and correcting problems.     Welding technicians work in a wide variety of industrial settings.
