Ivy Tech Community College offers a
variety of financial aid programs to students who need
assistance to continue their education. Most aid programs are
administered by the College's
Financial Aid Office under the policies and guidelines for federal,
state, and institutional
aid programs. Eligibility for most financial aid at Ivy Tech
Community College is based upon the student's demonstrated
financial need. Scholarship Booklets are availble in the Financial
Aid Office.

The federally funded Ivy Tech Community College Federal Work
Study Program provides part-time employment to students who
demonstrate financial need by filing the FAFSA. Part-time Employment/Work Study
Loans are borrowed money that you must pay back with interest.
Students may be able to borrow up to $2,625 in a subsidized loan
per year from private lenders, such as commercial banks, savings
and loan associations, or credit unions. The interest rate of a
Stafford Loan is currently on a variable rate program capped at
8.25%. Repayment begins six months after the student graduates or
ceases at least half-time attendance. Loans

Grants and scholarships are financial aid you do not have to pay
back. Scholarships usually require a special application. Grants and Scholarships

Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA].
- Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Be accepted for admission to the College in an eligible
program.
- Loans and workstudy require a minimum enrollment of 6 credit
hours.
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or meet ability to benefit
requirements.
- Submit requested documentation to verify the data provided on
the FAFSA.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
- Sign educational purpose statements and register with Selective
Service if required to do so.
- Not be in default on a student loan or owe a refund on any
grant or loan.
If you qualify and are interested in applying for financial aid you
may file a FAFSA at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.
How and When to
Apply Application forms are available in the Financial
Aid Office located in room 1144 of Ivy Hall at 3101 S. Creasy Lane,
Lafayette. Because application procedures, deadlines, eligibility
regulations, and refund policies vary with different types of
student aid, you are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office
at your earliest convenience. For priority aid consideration,
including Indiana grant aid, the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid [FAFSA] should be received between January 1 and March
10 preceding the fall term enrollment. The FAFSA can still be filed
after March 10 for federal aid consideration.
