scholarships being offered. Before applying, make sure
the scholarship you're applying for is being offered in the
semester you wish to attend, and that you qualify for the
scholarship you are applying for.
Health Division
Scholarship
Field of Study: Practical Nursing or
Respiratory Care Program
Award Range: Award may be up to, but will not
exceed, $225
Based On: Academic performance
New or Returning: Returning, full-time
Use of Money: Offset the costs of tuition, fees,
and textbooks

Selection Criteria Presented by members of the
Health Division faculty - Ivy Tech Community College to deserving
students who are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and have
demonstrated at least average academic achievement.
The student must:
- be enrolled in Practical Nursing or Respiratory Care
- be a full-time student
- submit 3 faculty/staff recommendation forms, two of which must
be health division faculty
- have at least a 2.0 G.P.A.

- submit three faculty/staff recommendation forms
- demonstrate financial need that has not been met by other grant
programs
A committee from the Tecumseh Area Kiwanis Club will review the
applications and choose one recipient.

This scholarship is presented by the Alpha Beta Chapter of Kappa
Kappa Sigma Sorority, Lafayette, in conjunction with Ivy Tech
Community College, Region 4.
The student must:
- be enrolled in an Ivy Tech Community College degree program as
a full-time student
- be a single, female parent
- have at least a 2.0 G.P.A.
- Have completed or now be enrolled in 12 credit hours
- submit 2 faculty/staff recommendations
A committee established by the sponsoring sorority will decide on
all awards. They in turn will notify the College of their
selection.

Selection Criteria
Dr. and Mrs. D.C. Fields have established the Sandra Hartman-Fields
Scholarship Fund for deserving students who wish to pursue a
college degree at Ivy Tech Community College. Indicating an
interest in this scholarship will allow the Financial Assistance
Office to mail you an application when they become available. The
Fields have appointed a selection committee: its award decision is
final.
The student must:
- be registered as a degree or technical-certificate-seeking
student in one of the following Ivy Tech Community College
programs: Surgical Technology, Practical Nursing, or Associate
Degree Nursing Programs
- have completed at least on-half of their program of study
- have demonstrated financial need that has not been met by other
grant programs
- have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
- be a resident of Tippecanoe County
- be willing to sign a press release

from the School of Business faculty]
Top
County Scholarship for Academic Excellence [one
award will be given to a resident of each of the following
counties: Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery,
Tippecanoe, Warren & White]
Field of Study: Any Ivy Tech Community College

Award Range: Full tuition remission for a minimum
of 12 credits, maximum of 15 credits
Based On: Scholarship and superior ability

or better; GED scores of 54 or better can substitute for high

- be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours, up to a maximum
of 15 credit hours per semester
- must be enrolled at the campus making the award
- maintain satisfactory standards of progress
- have shown a concern for others, and a willingness to serve the
community

Selection Criteria
Indicating an interest in this scholarship will allow the Financial
Assistance Office to mail you an application when they become
available in January 2001. The Lafayette Rotary Club appoints a
selection committee from its members; their award decision is
final.
When the student receives the application in January, he/she
must:
- type the application and all supporting materials
- have not completed a prior degree [associates or higher]
- submit two letters of recommendation each from a different
source [for example, one teacher and one friend or one relative and
one friend, etc.]
- submit a typed, 500 word essay [topic determined by committee
and identified on the application]
- have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or better
- applicants must submit an official transcript with their
application, essay and letters of recommendation
- return the complete application package to the Dean of Student
Affairs Office
